Warner Bros & Intel team up for drone show for release of Wonder Woman

September 14th 2017 saw Warner Bros & Intel’s Shooting Stars team up for an aerial display to celebrate the DVD release of DC’s Wonder Woman.

The clear night skies of LA saw 300 Intel drones doing an amazing display, described as “an electronic illuminated art show”, featuring the Wonder Woman logo as well as other imagery associated with the movie in coloured lights. In attendance was the director Patty Jenkins, producers Chuck Roven & Richard Suckle. Eugene Brave Rock, who played The Chief in the movie.

Wonder Woman is already available digitally, and will be released Sept. 19 on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray.

So…. what are the Shooting Stars?
Intel describes them as:
Our record breaking flights take the wonders of drone technology and transform them into an entirely new form of entertainment. With Intel, brands have the power to brighten up the night sky with a perfectly choreographed light show with hundreds of drones – creating a stunning way to communicate.

Our purpose-built light show system – the Intel® Shooting Star™ drone fleet – set the Guinness World Record in 2016 for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously. Only a single laptop and one pilot were needed to achieve lift-off for 500 beautifully choreographed drones.
